| 17 | הֵ֣ן אִיתַ֗י אֱלָהַ֙נָא֙ דִּֽי־ אֲנַ֣חְנָא פָֽלְחִ֔ין יָכִ֖ל לְשֵׁיזָבוּתַ֑נָא מִן־ אַתּ֨וּן נוּרָ֧א יָקִֽדְתָּ֛א וּמִן־ יְדָ֥ךְ מַלְכָּ֖א יְשֵׁיזִֽב׃ | If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. | If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. | |
| 18 | וְהֵ֣ן לָ֔א יְדִ֥יעַ לֶהֱוֵא־ לָ֖ךְ מַלְכָּ֑א דִּ֤י [לאלהיך] לָא־ [איתינא] (אִיתַ֣נָא) פָֽלְחִ֔ין וּלְצֶ֧לֶם דַּהֲבָ֛א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ימְתָּ לָ֥א נִסְגֻּֽד׃ ס | But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.” | But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” | |
