And Solomon son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and YHWH his God was with him and exceedingly exalted him. Solomon the son of David established himself in his kingdom, and the LORD his God was with him and made him exceedingly great. Solomon son of David established himself firmly over his kingdom, for the LORD his God was with him and made him exceedingly great.
And Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of the thousands and of the hundreds, and to the judges, and to every leader in all Israel, the heads of the fathers. Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the commanders of thousands and of hundreds, to the judges, and to all the leaders in all Israel, the heads of fathers’ houses. Then Solomon spoke to all Israel—to the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, to the judges and to all the leaders in Israel, the heads of families—
And they went—Solomon and all the assembly with him—to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the Tent of Meeting of God, which Moses the servant of YHWH had made in the wilderness. And Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon, for the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of the LORD had made in the wilderness, was there. and Solomon and the whole assembly went to the high place at Gibeon, for God’s tent of meeting was there, which Moses the LORD’s servant had made in the wilderness.
But the ark of God, David had brought up from Kiriath-jearim to where David had prepared for it, for he had pitched for it a tent at Jerusalem. (But David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath-jearim to the place that David had prepared for it, for he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.) Now David had brought up the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim to the place he had prepared for it, because he had pitched a tent for it in Jerusalem.
And the bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri son of Hur had made, was in Gibeon before the tabernacle of YHWH. And Solomon and the assembly sought Him. Moreover, the bronze altar that Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of the LORD. And Solomon and the assembly sought it out. But the bronze altar that Bezalel son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made was in Gibeon in front of the tabernacle of the LORD; so Solomon and the assembly inquired of him there.
And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before YHWH that was at the Tent of Meeting, and he caused to ascend on it a thousand burnt offerings. And Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before the LORD, which was at the tent of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it. Solomon went up to the bronze altar before the LORD in the tent of meeting and offered a thousand burnt offerings on it.
On that night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask what I shall give to you.” In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask what I shall give you.” That night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, “Ask for whatever you want me to give you.”
And Solomon said to God, “You have shown to David my father great loving devotion and have made me king in his place. And Solomon said to God, “You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place. Solomon answered God, “You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place.
Now, O YHWH God, let Your promise to David my father be established. For You have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. O LORD God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. Now, LORD God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth.
Now give to me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out before this people and come in. For who can judge this great people of Yours?” Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?”
And God said to Solomon, “Because that this was in your heart, and you have not requested riches, or wealth, or honor, or the life of your enemies, and even long life you have not requested—and you have requested for yourself wisdom and knowledge that you may judge My people, whom I have made you king over them— God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, possessions or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king,
the wisdom and the knowledge are granted to you, and riches and wealth and honor I will give to you, such as has not been so to the kings who were before you, and after you will not be thus.” wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.” therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, possessions and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
And Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem, from before the Tent of Meeting, and he reigned over Israel. So Solomon came from the high place at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting, to Jerusalem. And he reigned over Israel. Then Solomon went to Jerusalem from the high place at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting. And he reigned over Israel.
And Solomon gathered chariots and horses. And there were unto him a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horses, and he placed them in the cities of the chariots and with the king in Jerusalem. Solomon gathered together chariots and horsemen. He had 1,400 chariots and 12,000 horsemen, whom he stationed in the chariot cities and with the king in Jerusalem. Solomon accumulated chariots and horses; he had fourteen hundred chariots and twelve thousand horses, which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.
And the king made the silver and the gold in Jerusalem as common as stones, and the cedars he made as abundant as the sycamores that are in the Shephelah. And the king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stone, and he made cedar as plentiful as the sycamore of the Shephelah. The king made silver and gold as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.
And horses were imported that were unto Solomon from Egypt and from Kue; merchants of the king from Kue took them at a price. And Solomon’s import of horses was from Egypt and Kue, and the king’s traders would buy them from Kue for a price. Solomon’s horses were imported from Egypt and from Kue —the royal merchants purchased them from Kue at the current price.
And they came up and brought out from Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for fifty and a hundred. Thus to all the kings of the Hittite, and the kings of Aram, by their hand they brought them out. They imported a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels of silver, and a horse for 150. Likewise through them these were exported to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria. They imported a chariot from Egypt for six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty. They also exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and of the Arameans.
