1 And the sons of Issachar, Tola and Puah, Jashub and Shimron; four. The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub, and Shimron, four. The sons of Issachar: Tola, Puah, Jashub and Shimron—four in all.
2 And the sons of Tola, Uzzi, and Rephaiah, and Jeriel and Jahmai, and Jibsam, and Shemuel, heads to the house of their fathers, to Tola: strong ones of power to their generations; their number in the days of David, twenty and two thousand and six hundred. The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam, and Shemuel, heads of their fathers’ houses, namely of Tola, mighty warriors of their generations, their number in the days of David being 22,600. The sons of Tola: Uzzi, Rephaiah, Jeriel, Jahmai, Ibsam and Samuel—heads of their families. During the reign of David, the descendants of Tola listed as fighting men in their genealogy numbered 22,600.
3 And the sons of Uzzi: Izrahiah: and the sons of Izmhiah Michael and Obadiah, and Joel, Ishish; five; heads, all of them. The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. And the sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel, and Isshiah, all five of them were chief men. The son of Uzzi: Izrahiah. The sons of Izrahiah: Michael, Obadiah, Joel and Ishiah. 4 And to them to their generations, to the house of their fathers, troops of the host of war, thirty and six thousand: for they multiplied wives and sons. And along with them, by their generations, according to their fathers’ houses, were units of the army for war, 36,000, for they had many wives and sons. According to their family genealogy, they had 36,000 men ready for battle, for they had many wives and children.
5 And their brethren to all the families of Issachar strong mighty ones, eighty and seven thousand, being enrolled for all. Their kinsmen belonging to all the clans of Issachar were in all 87,000 mighty warriors, enrolled by genealogy. The relatives who were fighting men belonging to all the clans of Issachar, as listed in their genealogy, were 87,000 in all.

8 And the sons of Becher: Zemira, and Joash, and Eliezer, and Elioenai, and Omri, and Jerimoth, and Abiah, and Anathoth, and Alameth. All these the sons of Becher. The sons of Becher: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth, and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Becher. The sons of Beker: Zemirah, Joash, Eliezer, Elioenai, Omri, Jeremoth, Abijah, Anathoth and Alemeth. All these were the sons of Beker.
9 And their enrolling for their generation for the heads of the house of their fathers, mighty ones of power, twenty thousand and two hundred. And their enrollment by genealogies, according to their generations, as heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty warriors, was 20,200. Their genealogical record listed the heads of families and 20,200 fighting men.
10 And the sons of Jediael: Bilhan: and the sons of Bilhan: Jeush and Benjamin, and Ehud, and Chenaanah and Zethan, and Tharshish, and Ahishahar. The son of Jediael: Bilhan. And the sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Chenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish, and Ahishahar. The son of Jediael: Bilhan. The sons of Bilhan: Jeush, Benjamin, Ehud, Kenaanah, Zethan, Tarshish and Ahishahar.
11 All these the sons of Jediael for the heads of the fathers, strong mighty ones, seventeen thousand and two hundred, going forth to the host to war. All these were the sons of Jediael according to the heads of their fathers’ houses, mighty warriors, 17,200, able to go to war. All these sons of Jediael were heads of families. There were 17,200 fighting men ready to go out to war.
12 And Shappim and Huppim, the sons of Ir Hushim, the sons of Aher. And Shuppim and Huppim were the sons of Ir, Hushim the son of Aher. The Shuppites and Huppites were the descendants of Ir, and the Hushites the descendants of Aher.
13 The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel and Guni and Jezer and Shallum, the sons of Bilhah. The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Shallum, the descendants of Bilhah. The sons of Naphtali: Jahziel, Guni, Jezer and Shillem —the descendants of Bilhah.

Makir took a wife from among the Huppites and Shuppites. His sister’s name was Maakah. Another descendant was named Zelophehad, who had only daughters.
16 And Maachah the wife of Machir will bear a son, and she will call his name Peresh; and the name of his brother, Sheresh; and his sons Ulam and Rakem. And Maacah the wife of Machir bore a son, and she called his name Peresh; and the name of his brother was Sheresh; and his sons were Ulam and Rakem. Makir’s wife Maakah gave birth to a son and named him Peresh. His brother was named Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rakem.
17 And the sons of Ulam: Bedan. These the sons of Gilead, son of Machir, son of Manasseh. The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead the son of Machir, son of Manasseh. The son of Ulam: Bedan. These were the sons of Gilead son of Makir, the son of Manasseh.
18 And his sister Hammoleketh bare Ishod, and Abiezer, and Mahalah. And his sister Hammolecheth bore Ishhod, Abiezer, and Mahlah. His sister Hammoleketh gave birth to Ishhod, Abiezer and Mahlah.
19 And the sons of Shemida will be Ahian, and Shechem, and Likhi, and Aniam. The sons of Shemida were Ahian, Shechem, Likhi, and Aniam. The sons of Shemida were: Ahian, Shechem, Likhi and Aniam.

23 And he will go in to his wife, and she will conceive and bear a son, and he will call his name Beriah, because it was in being evil with his house. Then he made love to his wife again, and she became pregnant and gave birth to a son. He named him Beriah, because there had been misfortune in his family.
24 And his daughter Sherah, and she will build the house of the hollow, the lowest and the highest, and the ear of Sherah. His daughter was Sheerah, who built both Lower and Upper Beth-horon, and Uzzen-sheerah. His daughter was Sheerah, who built Lower and Upper Beth Horon as well as Uzzen Sheerah.

29 And upon the hands of the sons of Manasseh, the house of quiet and her daughters, and Taanach and her daughters, and Megiddo and her daughters, Dor and her daughters. In these dwelt the sons of Joseph the son of Israel. also in possession of the Manassites, Beth-shean and its towns, Taanach and its towns, Megiddo and its towns, Dor and its towns. In these lived the sons of Joseph the son of Israel. Along the borders of Manasseh were Beth Shan, Taanach, Megiddo and Dor, together with their villages. The descendants of Joseph son of Israel lived in these towns.
30 The sons of Asher: Imnah, and Ishuah, and Ishuai, and Beriah, and Serah their sister. The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi, Beriah, and their sister Serah. The sons of Asher: Imnah, Ishvah, Ishvi and Beriah. Their sister was Serah.

All of these were men of Asher, heads of fathers’ houses, approved, mighty warriors, chiefs of the princes. Their number enrolled by genealogies, for service in war, was 26,000 men. All these were descendants of Asher—heads of families, choice men, brave warriors and outstanding leaders. The number of men ready for battle, as listed in their genealogy, was 26,000.
