Psalm 112
NLT Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationKing James Bible
1Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands.1Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.
2Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.
3They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.
4Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.
5Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.
6Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.
7They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.
8They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.
9They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.
10The wicked will see this and be infuriated. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.10The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.
