Psalm 112
NLT Parallel ISV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New Living TranslationInternational Standard Version
1Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands.1Hallelujah! How happy is the person who fears the LORD, who truly delights in his commandments.
2Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.2His descendants will be powerful in the land, a generation of the upright who will be blessed.
3They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.3Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.
4Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.4A light shines in the darkness for the upright, for the one who is gracious, compassionate, and just.
5Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.5It is good for the person who lends generously, conducting his affairs with fairness.
6Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.6He will never be shaken; the one who is just will always be remembered.
7They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.7He need not fear a bad report, for his heart is unshaken, since he trusts in the LORD.
8They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.8His heart is steadfast, he will not fear. In the end he will look in triumph over his enemy.
9They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.9He gives generously to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor.
10The wicked will see this and be infuriated. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.10The wicked person sees this and flies into a rage; his teeth gnash and wear away. The desire of the wicked will amount to nothing.
