Psalm 62
NIV Parallel HCSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New International VersionHolman Christian Standard Bible
For the director of music. For Jeduthun. A psalm of David. Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.1For the choir director: according to Jeduthun. A Davidic psalm. I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken.
How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?3How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering stone fence?
Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse.4They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah
Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.5Rest in God alone, my soul, for my hope comes from Him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.6He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.7My salvation and glory depend on God, my strong rock. My refuge is in God.
Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.8Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge. Selah
Surely the lowborn are but a breath, the highborn are but a lie. If weighed on a balance, they are nothing; together they are only a breath.9Men are only a vapor; exalted men, an illusion. Weighed in the scales, they go up; together they are less than a vapor.
Do not trust in extortion or put vain hope in stolen goods; though your riches increase, do not set your heart on them.10Place no trust in oppression, or false hope in robbery. If wealth increases, pay no attention to it.
One thing God has spoken, two things I have heard: "Power belongs to you, God,11God has spoken once; I have heard this twice: strength belongs to God,
and with you, Lord, is unfailing love"; and, "You reward everyone according to what they have done."12and faithful love belongs to You, LORD. For You repay each according to his works.
