Psalm 26
NET Parallel CSB [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
NET BibleChristian Standard Bible
By David. Vindicate me, O LORD, for I have integrity, and I trust in the LORD without wavering. 1Vindicate me, LORD, because I have lived with integrity and have trusted in the LORD without wavering.
Examine me, O LORD, and test me! Evaluate my inner thoughts and motives! 2Test me, LORD, and try me; examine my heart and mind.
For I am ever aware of your faithfulness, and your loyalty continually motivates me. 3For your faithful love guides me, and I live by your truth.
I do not associate with deceitful men, or consort with those who are dishonest. 4I do not sit with the worthless or associate with hypocrites.
I hate the mob of evil men, and do not associate with the wicked. 5I hate a crowd of evildoers, and I do not sit with the wicked.
I maintain a pure lifestyle, so I can appear before your altar, O LORD, 6I wash my hands in innocence and go around your altar, LORD,
to give you thanks, and to tell about all your amazing deeds. 7raising my voice in thanksgiving and telling about your wondrous works.
O LORD, I love the temple where you live, the place where your splendor is revealed. 8LORD, I love the house where you dwell, the place where your glory resides.
Do not sweep me away with sinners, or execute me along with violent people, 9Do not destroy me along with sinners, or my life along with men of bloodshed
who are always ready to do wrong or offer a bribe. 10in whose hands are evil schemes and whose right hands are filled with bribes.
But I have integrity! Rescue me and have mercy on me! 11But I live with integrity; redeem me and be gracious to me.
I am safe, and among the worshipers I will praise the LORD. 12My foot stands on level ground; I will bless the LORD in the assemblies.
