NASB Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
New American Standard BibleKing James Bible
A Shiggaion of David, which he sang to the LORD concerning Cush, a Benjamite. O LORD my God, in You I have taken refuge; Save me from all those who pursue me, and deliver me,1Shiggaion of David, which he sang unto the LORD, concerning the words of Cush the Benjamite. O LORD my God, in thee do I put my trust: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me:
Or he will tear my soul like a lion, Dragging me away, while there is none to deliver.2Lest he tear my soul like a lion, rending it in pieces, while there is none to deliver.
O LORD my God, if I have done this, If there is injustice in my hands,3O LORD my God, if I have done this; if there be iniquity in my hands;
If I have rewarded evil to my friend, Or have plundered him who without cause was my adversary,4If I have rewarded evil unto him that was at peace with me; (yea, I have delivered him that without cause is mine enemy:)
Let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it; And let him trample my life down to the ground And lay my glory in the dust. Selah.5Let the enemy persecute my soul, and take it; yea, let him tread down my life upon the earth, and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
Arise, O LORD, in Your anger; Lift up Yourself against the rage of my adversaries, And arouse Yourself for me; You have appointed judgment.6Arise, O LORD, in thine anger, lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies: and awake for me to the judgment that thou hast commanded.
Let the assembly of the peoples encompass You, And over them return on high.7So shall the congregation of the people compass thee about: for their sakes therefore return thou on high.
The LORD judges the peoples; Vindicate me, O LORD, according to my righteousness and my integrity that is in me.8The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.
O let the evil of the wicked come to an end, but establish the righteous; For the righteous God tries the hearts and minds.9Oh let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end; but establish the just: for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins.
My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.10My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart.
God is a righteous judge, And a God who has indignation every day.11God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
If a man does not repent, He will sharpen His sword; He has bent His bow and made it ready.12If he turn not, he will whet his sword; he hath bent his bow, and made it ready.
He has also prepared for Himself deadly weapons; He makes His arrows fiery shafts.13He hath also prepared for him the instruments of death; he ordaineth his arrows against the persecutors.
Behold, he travails with wickedness, And he conceives mischief and brings forth falsehood.14Behold, he travaileth with iniquity, and hath conceived mischief, and brought forth falsehood.
He has dug a pit and hollowed it out, And has fallen into the hole which he made.15He made a pit, and digged it, and is fallen into the ditch which he made.
His mischief will return upon his own head, And his violence will descend upon his own pate.16His mischief shall return upon his own head, and his violent dealing shall come down upon his own pate.
I will give thanks to the LORD according to His righteousness And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Most High.17I will praise the LORD according to his righteousness: and will sing praise to the name of the LORD most high.
