Psalm 43
KJV Parallel NET [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
King James BibleNET Bible
1Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.1Vindicate me, O God! Fight for me against an ungodly nation! Deliver me from deceitful and evil men!
2For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?2For you are the God who shelters me. Why do you reject me? Why must I walk around mourning because my enemies oppress me?
3O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.3Reveal your light and your faithfulness! They will lead me, they will escort me back to your holy hill, and to the place where you live.
4Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God.4Then I will go to the altar of God, to the God who gives me ecstatic joy, so that I express my thanks to you, O God, my God, with a harp.
5Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.5Why are you depressed, O my soul? Why are you upset? Wait for God! For I will again give thanks to my God for his saving intervention.
