ISV Parallel KJV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
International Standard VersionKing James Bible
LORD, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth! You set your glory above the heavens!1To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babies you have established strength on account of your adversaries, in order to silence the enemy and vengeful foe.2Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
When I look at the heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars that you established—3When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;
what is man that you take notice of him, or the son of man that you pay attention to him?4What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
You made him a little less than divine, but you crowned him with glory and honor.5For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.
You gave him dominion over the work of your hands, you put all things under his feet:6Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:
Sheep and cattle—all of them, wild creatures of the field,7All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;
birds in the sky, fish in the sea— whatever moves through the currents of the oceans.8The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.
LORD, our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!9O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
