| 1For the choir director: according to Jeduthun. A Davidic psalm. I am at rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. | 1To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of David. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation. |
| 2He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will never be shaken. | 2He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved. |
| 3How long will you threaten a man? Will all of you attack as if he were a leaning wall or a tottering stone fence? | 3How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. |
| 4They only plan to bring him down from his high position. They take pleasure in lying; they bless with their mouths, but they curse inwardly. Selah | 4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah. |
