Psalm 61
HCSB Parallel ESV [BSB CSB ESV HCS KJV ISV NAS NET NIV NLT HEB]
Holman Christian Standard BibleEnglish Standard Version
1For the choir director: on stringed instruments. Davidic. God, hear my cry; pay attention to my prayer. 1Hear my cry, O God, listen to my prayer;
2I call to You from the ends of the earth when my heart is without strength. Lead me to a rock that is high above me, 2from the end of the earth I call to you when my heart is faint. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I,
3for You have been a refuge for me, a strong tower in the face of the enemy. 3for you have been my refuge, a strong tower against the enemy.
4I will live in Your tent forever and take refuge under the shelter of Your wings. Selah 4Let me dwell in your tent forever! Let me take refuge under the shelter of your wings! Selah
5God, You have heard my vows; You have given a heritage to those who fear Your name. 5For you, O God, have heard my vows; you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6Add days to the king's life; may his years span many generations. 6Prolong the life of the king; may his years endure to all generations!
7May he sit enthroned before God forever; appoint faithful love and truth to guard him. 7May he be enthroned forever before God; appoint steadfast love and faithfulness to watch over him!
8Then I will continually sing of Your name, fulfilling my vows day by day. 8So will I ever sing praises to your name, as I perform my vows day after day.
