   1 peri  men  gar  tēs  diakonias  tēs  eis  tous  agious  perisson  moi  estin  to  graphein  umin·  2 oida  gar  tēn  prothumian  umōn  ēn  uper  umōn  kauchōmai  makedosin,  oti  achaia  pareskeuastai  apo  perusi,  kai  to  umōn  zēlos  ērethisen  tous  pleionas.  3 epempsa  de  tous  adelphous,  ina  mē  to  kauchēma  ēmōn  to  uper  umōn  kenōthē  en  tō  merei  toutō,  ina  kathōs  elegon  pareskeuasmenoi  ēte,  4 mē  pōs  ean  elthōsin  sun  emoi  makedones  kai  eurōsin  umas  aparaskeuastous  kataischunthōmen  ēmeis,  ina  mē  legōmen  umeis  en  tē  upostasei  tautē.  5 anankaion  oun  ēgēsamēn  parakalesai  tous  adelphous,  ina  proelthōsin  eis  umas  kai  prokatartisōsin  tēn  proepēngelmenēn  eulogian  umōn,  tautēn  etoimēn  einai  outōs  ōs  eulogian  kai  mē  ōs  pleonexian. 
And he proceeds in stirring them up to a bountiful alms, as being but a kind of sowing of seed,
      eskorpisen,  edōken  tois  penēsin, 
         ē  dikaiosunē  autou  menei  eis  ton  aiōna. 
which shall return a great increase to them,
and occasion a great sacrifice of thanksgivings unto God.
