1The transgression of the wicked affirms within my heart, that his eyes see no fear of God. 2For his eyes see only his conceited self-image, that excludes any awareness of his hateful sin. 3The words of his mouth are hostile and deceitful; he no longer exercises prudence or does good. 4When he lies in bed, he hatches evil plots; he follows wicked paths, never rejecting evil.

5Your mercy, O LORD, extends to the heavens; and Your faithfulness reaches unto the clouds. 6Thy righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your judgments like the great depths. O LORD, You preserve both man and beast. 7How excellent is Your loving-kindness, O God! Therefore, the children of men put their trust in the shelter beneath of Your wings. 8They feast in the abundance Your house provides; and You shall let them drink from the river of Your pleasures. 9For the fountain of life is with You; by Your light shall we have our sight.

10Oh, continue Your loving-kindness unto them who know You; and Your righteousness to the upright in heart. 11Do not let the foot of the arrogant come near me, nor let the hand of the wicked drive me away. 12The unjust lie fallen there; they are thrown down, and cannot rise.
