Abimelech and Phicol seek a covenant with Abraham, recognizing God's favor upon him. A dispute over a well leads to a treaty between Abraham and Abimelech, giving the place its name—Beersheba.

Abraham's Devotion (Verses 32-34)

Abraham plants a tamarisk tree, calls upon the Lord, and continues residing in the land of the Philistines, exemplifying his enduring devotion to God.
