His Loving Devotion Endures Forever
(2 Chronicles 7:1–3)
הוֹד֣וּ (Give thanks) לַיהוָ֣ה (to YHWH), כִּי־ (for) ט֑וֹב (He is good),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
2 ה֭וֹדוּ (Give thanks) לֵֽאלֹהֵ֣י (to the God) הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים (of gods),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
3 ה֭וֹדוּ (Give thanks) לַאֲדֹנֵ֣י (to the Lord) הָאֲדֹנִ֑ים (of lords),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
4 לְעֹ֘שֵׂ֤ה (Thanks to the One doing) נִפְלָא֣וֹת (wonders) גְּדֹל֣וֹת (great), לְבַדּ֑וֹ (by Himself alone)
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
5 לְעֹשֵׂ֣ה (To the One making) הַ֭שָּׁמַיִם (the heavens) בִּתְבוּנָ֑ה (with understanding),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
6 לְרֹקַ֣ע (To the One beating out) הָ֭אָרֶץ (the earth) עַל־ (upon) הַמָּ֑יִם (the waters),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
7 לְ֭עֹשֵׂה (To the One making) אוֹרִ֣ים (the lights) גְּדֹלִ֑ים (great),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
8 אֶת־ (-) הַ֭שֶּׁמֶשׁ (the sun) לְמֶמְשֶׁ֣לֶת (for ruling) בַּיּ֑וֹם (over the day),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
9 אֶת־ (-) הַיָּרֵ֣חַ (the moon) וְ֭כוֹכָבִים (and stars) לְמֶמְשְׁל֣וֹת (for ruling) בַּלָּ֑יְלָה (over the night),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
10 לְמַכֵּ֣ה (To the one striking) מִ֭צְרַיִם (Egypt) בִּבְכוֹרֵיהֶ֑ם (against their firstborn),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
11 וַיּוֹצֵ֣א (And He brought forth) יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל (Israel) מִתּוֹכָ֑ם (from their midst),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
12 בְּיָ֣ד (With a hand) חֲ֭זָקָה (strong) וּבִזְר֣וֹעַ (and with an arm) נְטוּיָ֑ה (outstretched),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
13 לְגֹזֵ֣ר (To the One dividing) יַם־ (the Sea) ס֭וּף (of Reeds) לִגְזָרִ֑ים (into parts),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
14 וְהֶעֱבִ֣יר (And He made pass) יִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל (Israel) בְּתוֹכ֑וֹ (through the midst of it),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
15 וְנִ֘עֵ֤ר (And He shook off) פַּרְעֹ֣ה (Pharaoh) וְחֵיל֣וֹ (and his army) בְיַם־ (into the Sea) ס֑וּף (of Reeds),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
16 לְמוֹלִ֣יךְ (To the One leading) עַ֭מּוֹ (His people) בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר (through the wilderness),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
17 לְ֭מַכֵּה (To the One striking) מְלָכִ֣ים (kings) גְּדֹלִ֑ים (great),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
18 וַֽ֭יַּהֲרֹג (And He killed) מְלָכִ֣ים (kings) אַדִּירִ֑ים (mighty)—
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
19 לְ֭סִיחוֹן (Sihon) מֶ֣לֶךְ (king) הָאֱמֹרִ֑י (of the Amorite),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
20 וּ֭לְעוֹג (And Og) מֶ֣לֶךְ (king) הַבָּשָׁ֑ן (of Bashan)—
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
21 וְנָתַ֣ן (And He gave) אַרְצָ֣ם (their land) לְנַחֲלָ֑ה (as an inheritance),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
22 נַ֭חֲלָה (An inheritance) לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל (to Israel) עַבְדּ֑וֹ (His servant),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
23 שֶׁ֭בְּשִׁפְלֵנוּ (Who in our lowliness) זָ֣כַר (remembered) לָ֑נוּ (us)
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
24 וַיִּפְרְקֵ֥נוּ (And rescued us) מִצָּרֵ֑ינוּ (from our enemies).
כִּ֖י (For) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
25 נֹתֵ֣ן (The One giving) לֶ֭חֶם (food) לְכָל־ (to all) בָּשָׂ֑ר (flesh),
כִּ֖י (for) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
26 ה֭וֹדוּ (Give thanks) לְאֵ֣ל (to the God) הַשָּׁמָ֑יִם (of the heavens)!
כִּ֖י (For) לְעוֹלָ֣ם (forever) חַסְדּֽוֹ׃ (is His loving devotion).
