Psalm 46
Easy Reader Bible: Purple Letter EditionKJP
To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth.

1God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. 2Therefore we will not fear, though the earth trembles, and the mountains crumble into the sea; 3Though the waves of the seas roar and rage; though the mountains be shaken by its surging swells. Selah.

4There is a river, whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place of the dwelling of the Most High. 5God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved. God shall help her when morning dawns. 6The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. 7The LORD of heaven’s armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8Come and see what the LORD has done, and what desolations He has made in the earth. 9He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow, and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. 10Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. 11The LORD of heaven’s armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

A Psalm for the sons of Korah.
