Tendons:
In the Bible, tendons are often associated with strength and the intricate design of the human body, reflecting God's creative power. The Hebrew word "gid" is sometimes translated as "sinew" or "tendon." In Genesis 32:32, after Jacob wrestles with the angel, it is noted, "Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob’s hip was touched near the tendon" . This passage highlights the significance of tendons in the context of divine encounters and covenantal traditions. Tendons, as part of the body's structure, symbolize the strength and resilience bestowed by God upon His creation.

Flesh:
The term "flesh" in the Bible is multifaceted, often representing both the physical body and the nature of humanity. In Genesis 2:23, Adam declares, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for out of man she was taken" . Here, flesh signifies the unity and shared essence of humanity. In a broader theological context, flesh can also denote human frailty and the propensity to sin, as seen in Galatians 5:19-21, where the "acts of the flesh" are contrasted with the "fruit of the Spirit." The duality of flesh as both a creation of God and a symbol of human weakness underscores the need for redemption and sanctification through Christ.

Skin:
Skin, the outer covering of the body, is mentioned in various contexts throughout Scripture. In Genesis 3:21, after the fall of man, "The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them" . This act of providing skin garments signifies God's provision and care, even in the midst of judgment. Skin also appears in the context of disease and purification laws, as seen in Leviticus 13, where skin diseases are meticulously described, and the process for cleansing is outlined. These laws emphasize the importance of holiness and the separation from impurity. In a spiritual sense, skin can represent the need for covering and protection, which is ultimately fulfilled in the righteousness of Christ that covers believers.
