The call for justice is a recurring theme in the prophetic literature, where the prophets admonish Israel for neglecting justice and call them to return to God's ways. Micah 6:8 succinctly states, "He has shown you, O man, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?"
