4. Glorification: The final step in salvation, where believers are fully conformed to the image of Christ. Romans 8:30 describes this: "And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified."

Salvation is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ, as John 3:16 declares: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that everyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

Repentance

Repentance is a fundamental aspect of the Christian faith, involving a sincere turning away from sin and turning toward God. It is a change of mind and heart that leads to a transformation of life and behavior. Repentance is essential for receiving God's forgiveness and is closely linked to the concept of salvation.

The call to repentance is a consistent message throughout the Bible. In the Old Testament, the prophets frequently called the people of Israel to repent and return to God. In the New Testament, John the Baptist and Jesus both began their ministries with a call to repentance. Matthew 3:2 records John the Baptist's message: "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near."

Repentance involves several key components:

1. Recognition of Sin: Acknowledging one's sinfulness and the need for God's mercy. Psalm 51:3-4 expresses this recognition: "For I know my transgressions, and my sin is always before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight."

2. Godly Sorrow: A genuine sorrow for sin that leads to repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10 states, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation without regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

3. Confession: Openly admitting one's sins to God. 1 John 1:9 assures, "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

4. Turning from Sin: A deliberate decision to turn away from sinful behavior and turn toward God. Acts 3:19 urges, "Repent, then, and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped away."

5. Obedience to God: A commitment to live according to God's will and commands. Acts 26:20 describes the fruit of repentance: "I preached that they should repent and turn to God, and prove their repentance by their deeds."

Repentance is not a one-time event but a continual attitude and practice in the life of a believer. It is an essential response to the grace of God and a necessary step in the process of salvation.
