Respect for God

The Bible consistently calls for reverence and awe towards God, recognizing His holiness, power, and authority. In Deuteronomy 6:13, the Israelites are commanded, "Fear the LORD your God, serve Him only, and take your oaths in His name." This fear is not one of terror but of profound respect and reverence, acknowledging God's supreme authority and majesty.
