Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to establish and sustain it with justice and righteousness from that time and forevermore."

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ is revealed as the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies concerning the Messiah. The Bible also points to an eschatological hope where God's justice will ultimately bring about perfect peace. Revelation 21:3-4 envisions a future where God's presence ensures eternal peace: "And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying: 'Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man, and He will dwell with them. They will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the former things have passed away.'"

In this ultimate fulfillment, God's justice will eradicate all sources of discord and suffering, establishing a new creation characterized by everlasting peace.

For believers, the peace that comes from God's justice has practical implications for daily living. Christians are called to be peacemakers, as Jesus taught in Matthew 5:9 , "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God." This involves actively pursuing justice, mercy, and reconciliation in personal relationships and broader societal contexts.

Furthermore, the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, is promised to guard the hearts and minds of believers in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). This peace is a stabilizing force amid life's trials, rooted in the assurance of God's just and sovereign rule.
