Living as God's Inheritance

Living as God's inheritance involves both privilege and responsibility. Believers are called to reflect God's character and holiness in their daily lives. In 1 Peter 2:9 , the apostle Peter describes believers as "a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, to proclaim the virtues of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light." This identity calls for a life of worship, service, and witness to the world.

Moreover, living as God's inheritance means recognizing the communal aspect of this identity. Believers are part of the body of Christ, the church, which is described as God's household and temple (Ephesians 2:19-22). The full realization of living as God's inheritance will be consummated in the eschaton, when believers will inherit the kingdom prepared for them from the foundation of the world (Matthew 25:34).
