1. Jesus Christ: The ultimate example of humility in triumph is found in Jesus Christ. Despite His divine nature and the authority given to Him, Jesus consistently demonstrated humility. Philippians 2:6-8 states, "Who, existing in the form of God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross." Jesus' triumph over sin and death was marked by His humble submission to the Father's will.

2. King David: David's life provides several instances of humility in triumph. After defeating Goliath, David did not boast in his own strength but attributed the victory to the Lord. In 1 Samuel 17:45-47 , David declares, "You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the LORD of Hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the LORD will deliver you into my hand, and I will strike you down and cut off your head... for the battle is the LORD’s, and He will give all of you into our hands."

3. Gideon: Gideon is another example of humility in triumph. When God called him to deliver Israel from the Midianites, Gideon initially doubted his own ability, recognizing his lowly status. Judges 6:15 records his response: "Please, Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house." After the victory, Gideon refused to become king, acknowledging that the LORD was the true ruler of Israel (Judges 8:23).

1. Acknowledgment of God's Role: Humility in triumph involves recognizing that all victories are ultimately granted by God. Proverbs 21:31 states, "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory belongs to the LORD." Believers are called to attribute their successes to God's providence and grace.

Jesus taught His disciples that true greatness is found in serving, as seen in Mark 10:43-45 : "But it shall not be this way among you.
