Sovereignty of God

The sovereignty of God is a foundational doctrine in Christian theology, affirming that God is the supreme authority and all things are under His control. This concept is deeply rooted in Scripture, where God's absolute power and authority are consistently emphasized. In the Berean Standard Bible, Psalm 115:3 declares, "Our God is in heaven; He does as He pleases." This verse encapsulates the essence of divine sovereignty, highlighting God's freedom to act according to His will without constraint.

The sovereignty of God is further illustrated in the narrative of creation. Genesis 1:1 states, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." God's uniqueness is further highlighted in Isaiah 46:9, where He declares, "Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me." Jesus, as the incarnate Word, embodies the unique revelation of God to humanity, demonstrating God's love, grace, and truth in a way that is unparalleled.
