After Paul's salutation, |
and thanksgiving for the Ephesians, |
he treats of our election, |
and adoption by grace; |
which is the true and proper fountain of man's salvation. |
And because the height of this mystery cannot be easily attained unto, |
15 Διὰ τοῦτο κἀγὼ ἀκούσας τὴν καθ’ ὑμᾶς πίστιν ἐν τῷ κυρίῳ Ἰησοῦ καὶ τὴν εἰς πάντας τοὺς ἁγίους |
he prays that they may come to the full knowledge and possession thereof in Christ. |
