Zechariah 3:1-5 ▼

1 And he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of YHWH, and Satan was standing at his right hand to oppose him.

2 And YHWH said to Satan, “YHWH rebukes you, Satan! And may YHWH who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you. Is not this a firebrand snatched from the fire?”

3 And Joshua was there, dressed in filthy garments, and he was standing before the angel.

4 And he answered and spoke to those standing before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And he said to him, “See, your iniquity I have made pass from you, and I will clothe you with splendid robes.”

5 And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” And they put a clean turban on his head, and they clothed him with garments, and the angel of YHWH was standing by.
