1 For the one directing: To “Do not Destroy.” A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. We give thanks to You, O God; we give thanks—for Your name is near—recounting Your wonders. 2 “When I take the appointed place, I will judge uprightly. 3 At the dissolving of the earth and all its dwellers, I measure out its pillars. Selah 4 I said to those boasting, ‘You⁺ shall not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘You⁺ shall not lift up the horn; 5 you⁺ shall not lift up your⁺ horn to the height, or speak with an insolent neck.’” 6 For it is not from the going forth or from the sinking, and not from the wilderness is exaltation, 7 But God is judging—this one He brings low, and this one He lifts up.
