Psalms 115:1-11 ▼

1 Not to us, O YHWH, not to us, but to Your name, give glory, because of Your loving devotion, because of Your faithfulness!

2 Why should the nations say, “Where now is their God?”

3 And our God is in the heavens; all that he has pleased, He has done.

4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of the hands of man.

5 A mouth is unto them, and they do not speak; eyes are unto them, and they do not see;

6 ears are unto them, and they do not hear; noses are unto them, and they do not smell;

7 they have hands and they do not feel; they have feet and they do not walk; and they do not utter by their throat.

8 Those making them shall be like them, everyone who is trusting in them.

9 O Israel, trust in YHWH! And He is their help and their shield.

10 O House of Aaron, trust in YHWH! And He is their help and their shield.

11 O fearers of YHWH, trust in YHWH! He is their help and their shield.
