9 Now why do you shout with shouting? Is there no king among you? Or has your counselor perished, that has gripped you anguish like a woman in labor? 10 Writhe, and bring forth, O daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor. For now you will go forth from the city, and you will dwell in the field, and you will go to Babylon. There you will be delivered, there YHWH will redeem you from the hand of your enemies. 11 And now many nations are gathered against you, those saying, “Let her be defiled, and let our eyes gaze upon Zion.” 12 And they do not know the thoughts of YHWH, and they do not understand His counsel, how He gathers them like sheaves to the threshing floor. 13 Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion. For your horn I will set as iron, and your hooves I will set as bronze; and you will crush many peoples, and you will devote to YHWH their gain, and their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.
