1 And, when morning came, all the high priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, so as to put Him to death; 2 and, binding Him, they led Him away, and delivered Him up to Pilate, the governor. 3 Then Judas, who betrayed Him, seeing that He was condemned, repenting, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the high priests and the elders, 4 saying, "I sinned, having betrayed innocent blood." But they said, "What is that to us? You may see to that." Matthew 27:1-4, Worrell New Testament. Public domain.
