1 After six days Jesus (YHWH saves) took with Him Peter (rock), James (supplanter / follower), and John (YHWH is gracious) the brother of James, and led them up a high mountain by themselves. 2 There He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light. 3 Suddenly Moses (drawn out) and Elijah (my God is YHWH) appeared before them, talking with Jesus. 4 Peter (rock) said to Jesus (YHWH saves), “Lord {Kyrie}, it is good for us to be here. If You wish, I will put up three shelters (three tabernacles) one for You, one for Moses (drawn out), and one for Elijah (my God is YHWH). 5 While Peter was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is My beloved {agapētos} Son, in whom I am well pleased <2Pe 1:17>. Listen to Him! 6 When the disciples (pupils) heard this, they fell facedown in terror. 7 Then Jesus (YHWH saves) came over and touched them. “Get up, He said. “Do not be afraid.
