22 now by these events, that divine prediction of the Prophet had its full accomplishment, when he said, "Behold, 23 a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel," that is to say, God our Saviour. 24 Then Joseph being awak'd out of sleep, did as the angel of the Lord directed, and took his wife home, 25 but did not cohabit with her as a wife, before she had-brought forth her first-born son; whom he named JESUS.
