In those days, the crowd again being great and not having what they might eat, having summoned the disciples, He says to them,

“I have compassion toward the crowd, because already three days they continue with Me and have nothing that they might eat.

And if I shall dismiss them hungry to their house, they will faint on the way. And some of them have come from afar.”

And His disciples answered Him, “From where will anyone be able to satisfy these with loaves here in a wilderness?”

And He was asking them, “How many loaves do you? have?” And they said, “Seven.”

And He commands the crowd to recline on the ground. And having taken the seven loaves, having given thanks, He broke them and was giving them to His disciples to set before them. And they set them before the crowd.

And they had a few small fish. And having blessed them, He said to set before them these also.

And they ate and were satisfied, and they took up an abundance of fragments—seven baskets.
