1 In those days, there being again a very great multitude, and they having nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to Him, 2 and saith unto them, I have compassion on the multitude, for they have now been with me three days, and have nothing to eat: 3 and if I send them away fasting to their own home, they will faint by the way; for some of them are come from far. 4 And his disciples answered Him, From whence can one satisfy these people with bread here in a desert? 5 And He asked them, How many loaves have ye? and they said, Seven. 6 And He ordered the people to sit down upon the ground: and taking the seven loaves, He gave thanks and brake them, and gave to his disciples to set before them; and they did set them before the multitude. 7 And they had a few small fishes: and He blessed them, and bid them set them also before the people.
