1 AND he entered again into the synagogue; and a man was there who had a withered hand. 2 And they watched him if he would cure him on the sabbath; that they might accuse him. 3 And he saith to the man who had the withered hand, Rise up in the midst. 4 And he saith to them, Is it lawful on the sabbath day to do good, or to do evil, to preserve life, or to kill? but they were silent. 5 Then looking round about on them with indignation, exceedingly grieved for the hardness of their hearts, he saith to the man, Stretch out thine hand; and he stretched it out: and his hand was restored sound as the other. 6 And the Pharisees instantly going out, held a council with the Herodians against him, how they might destroy him.
