23 And there was in their synagogue a man who had an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying: Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Nazarene? Hast thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying: Be silent, and come out of him. 26 And the unclean spirit threw him into convulsions, and cried with a loud voice, and came out of him. 27 And all were amazed, so that they questioned one another, saying: What means this? What new teaching is this, that with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him? Mark 1:23-27, Anderson New Testament. Public domain.
