9 And he led Him into Jerusalem, and placed Him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, If thou art the Son of God cast thyself down from thence; 10 for it has been written, That He will give His angels charge concerning thee, in order to guard thee, 11 and they will bear thee upon their hands, lest at any time thou mayest dash thy foot against a stone. 12 And Jesus responding said to him; That it has been said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
