1 And it came to pass on the eighth day that Moses called for Aaron and for his sons and for the elders of Israel, 2 and he said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a calf, a son of the herd, for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, unblemished, and bring them near before the face of YHWH. 3 And you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘Take a kid of the goats for a sin offering, and a calf and a lamb—sons of a year, unblemished—for a burnt offering, 4 and a bull and a ram for peace offerings to sacrifice before the face of YHWH, and a grain offering mixed with the oil. For today YHWH will appear to you?.’” 5 And they brought what Moses had commanded to the face of the Tent of Meeting, and all the congregation drew near and stood before the face of YHWH. 6 And Moses said, “This is the thing that YHWH has commanded you? to do, and the glory of YHWH will appear to you?.” 7 And Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar and do your sin offering and your burnt offering, and make atonement on your behalf and on behalf of the people. And do the offering of the people and make atonement on their behalf, as YHWH commanded.” Leviticus 9:1-7, Berean Literal Bible. Public domain.
