from Shihor, which is upon the face of Egypt, and as far as the border of Ekron northward, to the Canaanite it is reckoned; the five lords of the Philistines—the Gazite, and the Ashdodite, the Ashkelonite, the Gittite, and the Ekronite; and the Avite;

from the south, all the land of the Canaanite, and Mearah, that is to the Sidonians, as far as Aphek, to the border of the Amorite;

and the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon toward the rising of the sun, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to the entrance to Hamath.

All those dwelling in the hill country from Lebanon as far as Misrephoth-maim—all the Sidonians—I will drive them out from before the sons of Israel; only divide it by lot to Israel as an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

From Aroer which is on the bank of the River Arnon, and the town that is in the midst of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba as far as Dibon;

and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorite, who reigned in Heshbon, as far as the border of the sons of Ammon;

and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurite and Maachathite, and all of Mount Hermon, and all of Bashan as far as Salcah—
