1 Then Pilate toke Iesus therfore, and scourged hym. 2 And the souldiers wounde a crowne of thornes, and put it on his head: And they did on hym a purple garment, 3 And sayde, Hayle king of the Iewes: And they stroke hym with roddes. 4 Pilate went foorth agayne, and sayde vnto them: Beholde, I bryng hym foorth to you, that ye may knowe that I fynde no fault in hym. 5 Then came Iesus foorth, wearyng a crowne of thorne, and a robe of purple: And he sayth vnto them, beholde the man.
