27 For the Father himself loveth you; because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came from God: and I indeed came from the Father, 28 and am come into the world: but now I am leaving the world again, and am going to the Father. 29 His disciples said unto Him, Now indeed Thou speakest plainly, and usest no parable. 30 Now we are convinced that Thou knowest all things, and hast no need that any one should ask Thee: by this we believe that Thou camest forth from God. 31 Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? 32 Behold, the time is coming, and is even now come, that ye shall be dispersed every one his own way, and shall leave me alone: but I am not alone, for the Father is with me. 33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have trouble: but be of good courage, I have overcome the world. John 16:27-33, Worsley New Testament. Public domain.
