3 Then toke Marie a pounde of oyntment of Spike narde, very costly, and annoynted Iesus feete, and wyped his feete with her heere: and the house was fylled with the odoure of the oyntment. 4 Then sayde one of his disciples, euen Iudas Iscariot Simons sonne, which shoulde betraye hym. 5 Why was not this oyntment solde for three hundred pence, and geuen to the poore? 6 This he sayde, not that he cared for the poore: but because he was a thiefe, and had the bagge, and bare that which was geuen. 7 Then sayde Iesus: Let her alone, agaynst the day of my burying hath she kept this. 8 For the poore alwayes shall ye haue with you: but me haue ye not alwayes.
