Job 3:20-26 ▼

20 Why is light given to the one toiling, and life to the bitter of soul,

21 those waiting for death and there is none, and those digging for it more than hidden treasures,

22 those being glad unto joy; they rejoice that they should find the grave?

23 To a man for whom his path is hidden, and God has hedged around him?

24 For before my food my sighing comes, and my groanings pour out like the waters.

25 For the dreadful thing I dreaded, and it has met me, and that which I had feared has come to me.

26 I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; and I do not have rest, and turmoil has come.”
