2 and they said to Jeremiah the prophet: “Please, let our supplication fall before your face, and pray for us to YHWH your God, on behalf of all this remnant—since we have left remaining a few of the many, as your eyes can see with us— 3 that YHWH your God may present to us the way in which we should walk in it, and the thing that we should do. 4 And Jeremiah the prophet said to them: “I have heard;” behold, I will pray to YHWH your? God according to your? words; and it will come to pass that every word that YHWH answers you?, I will declare to you?—I will not withhold from you? a word. 5 And they said to Jeremiah: “May YHWH be against us as a true and faithful witness, if according to every word that YHWH your God sends you to us, we do not thus. 6 Whether good or whether bad, to the voice of YHWH our God, to whom we are sending you, we will listen, so that it may be good for us when we listen to the voice of YHWH our God.
