7 And the priests and the prophets and all the people heard Jeremiah speaking these words in the house of YHWH. 8 And it came to pass, as Jeremiah had made an end of speaking all that YHWH had commanded him to speak to all the people, the priests, and the prophets, that all the people captured him, saying, “You must surely die! 9 Why have you prophesied in the name of YHWH, saying that this house will become like Shiloh, and this city will be desolate without one dwelling there?” And all the people gathered against Jeremiah in the house of YHWH. 10 And the princes of Judah heard these things, and they came up from the house of the king to the house of YHWH, and they sat down in the entrance of the New Gate of YHWH. 11 And the priests and the prophets spoke to the princes and to all the people, saying: “This man deserves to die!
