1 Who is this that comes from Edom with crimson garments from Bozrah? And who is glorious in his apparel and mighty in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. 2 Why is your apparel red and why are your garments like those of him who treads in the winepress? 3 I have trodden the winepress alone, and of the people there was none with me; I have trodden them in my anger and trampled them in my fury; and their blood is splashed upon my garments, and I have stained all my raiment. 4 For the day of vengeance is in my heart, and the year of my salvation is come. 5 And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered, and there was none to uphold; therefore my own arm saved me and my fury upheld me. 6 And I have trodden down the peoples in my anger, and made them drunk in my fury, and I have brought down their strength to the earth.
