Par

AND it came to pass after these things that the chief butler of the king of Egypt and the chief baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

And Pharaoh was wroth against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.

And he put them into the prison in the house of the commander of the guard, in the ward where Joseph was bound.

And the commander of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them; and they remained for some time in the prison.

And they both dreamed, each man his own dream in the same night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were bound in the prison.

And Joseph came in to them in the morning, and saw them, and behold, they were sad.

So he asked Pharaoh's officers who were with him in the prison of his master's house, saying, Why do you look so sad today?

And they said to him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no one to interpret it. And Joseph said to them, Behold, the interpretations belong to God; tell them to me.
