29 And Jacob boiled a stew, and Esau came in from the field, and he was weary.

30 And Esau said to Jacob, “Let me gulp down, please, from the red, the red, this one, for I am weary!” (Upon thus his name was called Edom.)

31 And Jacob said, “Sell—today—your birthright to me.”

32 And Esau said, “Behold, I am going to die; and for what is this birthright to me?”

33 And Jacob said, “Swear to me today.” And he swore to him, and sold his birthright to Jacob.
