1 And he brought me back to the door of the temple, and behold, waters were flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the face of the temple is eastward), and the waters were flowing from under the side of the temple on the right, at the south of the altar. 2 And he brought me out by way of the north gate, and he led me around the way on the outside to the outer gateway, the way facing east, and behold, waters were flowing on the right side. 3 At the going out of the man to the east, and the line in his hand, he measured a thousand by the cubit; and he brought me through the waters—waters to the ankles. 4 And he measured a thousand, and he brought me through the waters—waters to the knees; and again he measured a thousand, and he brought me through waters to the loins. 5 And he measured a thousand—a river that I was not able to cross; for the waters had risen—waters for swimming, a river that could not be crossed. 6 And he said to me, “Have you seen, son of man?” And he brought me and returned me to the bank of the river. 7 In my returning, behold, along the bank of the river were very many trees, on this side and on this side. 8 And He said to me: “These waters are flowing toward the eastern border, and they go down upon the Arabah and enter the Sea; and having gone out into the sea, its waters are healed. 9 And it will come to pass that every soul living that moves, at every place where the rivers should come there, will live. And there will be a great abundance of fish, because these waters come there, and they will be healed. And will live everything wherever the river comes there. Ezekiel 47:1-9, Berean Literal Bible.
